Personal statement
This is my passion! As a defender at HGC, I bring dominance, power, coaching and stability to the field. I am a player with some speed in my legs, an important skill I use in almost every game is a scoop, this skill brings stability and peace to the team, because the ball gets distributed to the other players with ease. Another skill I bring to the field is good passing, I know where to pass and when to pass. As a defender I bring a lot of coaching to the field, because I have the overview in the back, I know where everyone is and where everyone should be.
As a player I hope to excel in my sport, to contribute to possible successes and to learn new skills. In my personal life I hope to develop good relations with the people around me.
Getting challenged is very important both on and off the field. Something I find very important in a team is respect and positivity, those things make you want to work harder. Positivity and respect is something I find very admiring and important in a coach, this coaching style pushes you to be the best you can be. In the future I hope to be challenged, so I can be the best version of myself. I also want to meet loads of new people and make new friends!!
Achievements
In the season 2021-2022 I was invited to play a match with HGC u16-1, this match eventually landed me a place in the team of HGC. I was able to transfer from my small town field hockey club to HGC. In this season we became second in the "sub-national league".
This year in 2023-2024, I play for HGC u18-1. This year I am a defender and we are ranked in the top 3 of "super u18". I am a stable and powerful player, I am a strong player and dominate the defending 1 vs 1, also my 6'1 frame does not stop me from being fast.
