Clubhistory

I’ve spent most of my football career playing in and around Amsterdam. I started at ZSGOWMS, where I played from the U8s up to the U17s between 2008 and 2019. After that, I joined SDW U19 and played there from 2019 to 2021. I then moved to United Davo, where I was part of both the U23s and the first team from 2021 to 2023. In 2023, I returned to ZSGOWMS to play for the U23 squad. Since 2018, I’ve also been training at E2GT Academy, a football school focused on individual development. There, I train weekly and regularly play matches with and against players from professional academies and high-level teams.

In terms of experience at higher levels, I had a 6-week trial with Almere City U15 in 2016, and in 2019 I played a trial match with Go Ahead Eagles U19.

Qualities on the pitch

I’m a midfielder with good vision on the pitch and a strong scoring ability. I quickly recognize space and can deliver a sharp final pass to set up my teammates. I’m comfortable using both feet and strong in link-up play, combining quickly with teammates to keep the game flowing.

My movement off the ball is one of my strengths, as I like making smart runs to create space or get into scoring positions. My long-distance shot often makes me a threat from outside the box. Thanks to these offensive qualities, I can also play in more attacking roles.

I stay calm under pressure, don’t give up easily, and I’m someone who takes responsibility on the field.

Motivation

I want to play college soccer in the U.S. because I’m really motivated to grow as both a player and a person. The way sports are a big part of student life over there really speaks to me—it’s competitive, well-organized, and taken seriously. What also attracts me is how naturally school and sports are combined at a high level. Where I’m from, those two are usually kept separate, which makes it harder to fully focus on both.

I’ve got family spread out across the U.S. and I’ve visited multiple times. Those visits, and hearing stories from my cousins who live there, have only motivated me more to take this step. The idea of living, studying, and playing in a new environment really excites me—it feels like the right challenge at the right time.

My goal is to get my degree and get the most out of the soccer program. I want to keep improving every day and be a solid part of the team, on and off the field. I’m also looking forward to perfecting my English, which I see as an important part of both my personal and professional development. I’m looking for a place where I can be challenged, work hard, and develop—athletically, academically, and personally.
