Personal Statement

I am a real team player, with a high work rate, always motivated and with a big sense of responsibility. I show leadership. As a player I can play several positions, but I prefer midfield. I have great tactical awareness, I am a good runner with the ball but also a smart mover without the ball, and I have two-footed crossing and passing ability. I am physically strong and have an incredible stamina.
Academic my goal for college is getting my criminal justice degree and prepare myself for a career. As a soccer player, I want to become the best player I can be on and off the pitch. For me a good athletic program and getting challenged athletically and academically is most important. In a team I think mutual respect and a good/safe team culture is necessary to be able to perform. At my new school I hope to get more challenged on and off the field. I always want to be the best version of myself I can be and hope new school/team can stimulate me in that. I also want to meet new people, make new friends and have fun.

Achievements

I started playing soccer when I was 8. Until the U12’s, I always played in boys teams. During my first season in the girls U13’s, I scored 58 goals as a midfielder. The following season, I joined the U15’s. where I scored 59 goals as captain of my team. In addition to my games with the U15’s, I also played for the U19’s of my club, which competed on the highest national youth level in the Netherlands. Aged 14, I became a full member of the U19’s of my club. In the 2019 - 2020 season, I decided to join the U17’s of SC Buitenveldert, one of the most prestigious amateur clubs in the Netherlands. Here, I competed on the highest national youth level. In the 2021-2022 season, I joined the women’s first team and started every game as a left midfielder.
In Fall 2022 I joined the BMCU Toppers competing in the SSAC. In my freshman year I played every game 90 minutes and had a good first year. I scored 15 goals and had 6 assists. I was named a member of the Second-Team All- conference and a member of the All-Freshman Team as well. This year I struggled with a foot injury, but I still played every conference game scoring 2 goals and giving 3 assists. This year I earned the Barnes & Nobles College All-Academic award.
