Soccer Background
I am a player with a strong understanding of the game, always aware of what is happening on the field by constantly scanning my surroundings. My physical strength allows me to be effective both defensively and offensively, winning duels and making an impact all over the pitch. I thrive in a possession-based style of play, enjoying having the ball at my feet and dictating the tempo. One of my standout qualities is my ability to switch play efficiently, helping my team control the game and exploit space.
My strength in aerial duels is another key asset, allowing me to win important challenges and regain possession for my team. Additionally, I have excellent passing ability, supported by a strong and precise strike of the ball. My endurance enables me to run for a full 90 minutes, making me a consistent presence in both attack and defense. While my primary position is as a number 6, I am versatile and capable of playing as a center-back, number 8, or number 10, adapting to the needs of the team.
I started playing soccer at the age of 4 and have been with PVCV ever since—one of the biggest and strongest amateur clubs in the Netherlands. I have progressed through every level, from the U9-1 to the U19-1, where I currently play. Throughout my time at PVCV, I have competed against top professional clubs, often in official league matches. In the U16s, we played in a league with teams like FC Dordrecht, Fortuna Sittard, FC Eindhoven, and Helmond Sport, securing a 3rd-place finish after winning several key matches.
Last season, in the U17s, we battled Sparta Rotterdam for the league title in the 4th division. A dominant 5-1 victory in the championship-deciding match against Sparta secured us the title. This season, in the U19-1, we are once again competing at a high level, facing teams such as Fortuna Sittard in our league.
Why College Soccer
Playing college soccer in the United States is an incredible opportunity for me to combine high-level competition with academic development. My goal is to contribute to a strong team, improve as a player, and push myself to new limits both on and off the field. I am looking for a program that values hard work, teamwork, and ambition, where I can develop as an athlete while earning a quality education. This experience will allow me to grow as a person and a player, preparing me for future opportunities in soccer and beyond.
